A Surprising Turn of Events in The Celebrity Traitors
The Celebrity Traitors has made headlines with its unexpected twists, as three of its top stars were eliminated in the show’s second week. The BBC One hit returned for a third episode on Wednesday, following last week’s premiere that quickly became a water-cooler conversation and solidified Alan Carr’s status as a national treasure.
After Paloma Faith was the first star to be eliminated in the Scottish castle, the latest episode saw even more dramatic exits as three celebrities were sent home in quick succession. The first to go was YouTube prankster Niko Omilana, who was voted out during the first roundtable. The celebrities in his group found his profession of playing tricks on people suspicious, despite it having little connection to the castle gameplay.
Niko wasn’t the only one leaving the game. The cloaked Traitors then met under the cover of darkness to carry out their second elimination. The trio of Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns decided it was Olympian Tom Daley’s turn to go, ending his strong run as the chairman of the Kate Garraway Suspicions Club.

Daley may have been eliminated, but his memorable eyeroll and doubts about the use of the word ‘flabbergasted’ will remain a topic of discussion among fans for a long time.

Fan Reactions and Emotional Responses
Even with the departure of several high-profile stars, the third episode of the show wasn’t done with its surprises. Viewers were left shocked by the eliminations, with many expressing disappointment over Niko’s exit. One fan, @janro3011, tweeted: “Okay this vote is clearly personal because of who he is outside of the game. Niko’s defense was amazing! Gutted.”
Another fan, @AnitaNkadi, added: “Justice for Niko, PRAYINGGGG for a twist that brings him back.” BBC viewers were also surprised by Tom Daley’s departure, especially after a classic Traitors shower scene. @rachel_rj6 wrote: “Got to love the production team for giving out that Tom Daley shower content before announcing he’s been murdered lmao.”
@Eleanor81386912 expressed her shock: “TOM AND NIKO YOU’RE JOKING WHAT THE HELL WHY AM I EVEN WATCHING IT ATP.” As the third roundtable began and Tameka Empson became the target, @JS_TV01 commented: “Nah cause why they tryna get rid of all the best contestants.”
@thirlwclls wrote: “Not our Kim. How did that even sway towards Tameka??” Meanwhile, @DylanEvans95_ gushed: “THAT has to be one of the most exciting roundtables ever! So chaotic!”
Upcoming Episodes and Excitement
Although The Traitors might seem to have the upper hand, Ross’s days in the game could be numbered. The show is set to return for more treachery on Thursday night, and fans are eagerly awaiting what comes next. The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday on BBC One.
