New Clues in the Tragic Death of Celeste Rivas
A new development has emerged in the case of Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old girl whose body was found in the back of singer D4vd’s Tesla. According to a recent episode of the podcast “2 Angry Men,” hosted by renowned defense attorney Mark Geragos and TMZ founder Harvey Levin, a second suspect has been identified in connection with her death.
The podcast revealed that multiple sources with knowledge of the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation have indicated that detectives believe another individual is involved in Rivas’ death. This information aligns with reports from People magazine, which suggested that an unnamed person may have also participated in the disposal of the body.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been identified as a suspect but has not been charged with any crime. While Levin did not fully disclose the reasons why police now believe D4vd had help, Geragos highlighted that the LAPD has created a detailed timeline of the crime by analyzing social media posts, cell phone records, and Tesla tracking data.
“They have triangulated this to the point where…they’ve got a chart at LAPD that you would not believe. They’ve got this thing down to a timeline that’s almost by the minute,” Geragos said.

Levin believes that because Teslas are equipped with interior and exterior cameras, police may have access to footage that could show the involvement of the alleged accomplice. However, the LAPD has not confirmed these reports.
Rivas’s body was discovered inside the trunk of D4vd’s impounded car on September 8, just one day after her 15th birthday. At the time, D4vd was on tour throughout the United States. The car was reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, with neighbors stating it had been there for about a month.
After being towed to an impound yard, workers noticed a foul smell coming from the frunk, the front trunk of the vehicle. When police arrived and opened the compartment, they found Rivas’s remains in a bag.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of death due to the dismemberment and advanced decomposition of her body. Toxicology reports are still pending, which could provide more clarity.
Rivas had been missing for over a year when her body was discovered. She was known to frequently run away from her home in Lake Elsionore, California, and left for the last time in April 2024.

Reports from Friday indicated that D4vd is allegedly “not cooperating” with law enforcement’s investigation and has not yet been interviewed. As of November 22, no arrests or charges have been made in the case.
This case continues to raise many questions, especially regarding the involvement of a second suspect and the circumstances surrounding Rivas’s death. As the investigation progresses, more details are expected to come to light.
