The World’s Tallest Hotel Unveiled in Dubai
Dubai has once again set a new benchmark in architectural and hospitality innovation with the opening of Ciel Dubai Marina, now recognized as the tallest hotel in the world. This remarkable structure is part of the Vignette Collection by IHG and stands at an impressive 377 metres tall, featuring 82 floors and 1,004 rooms and suites. It marks a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to attract high-profile visitors and solidify its status as a global tourism hub.
A New Era for Tourism in Dubai
Dubai is currently experiencing a surge in tourism, with 18.7 million international visitors welcomed in the past year—an increase of 9% compared to 2023. The city continues to focus on attracting affluent travelers, and the Ciel Dubai Marina is a prime example of this ambition. In 2024, foreign investment in the tourism sector reached over $2 billion (€1.7 billion), highlighting the growing interest in Dubai’s luxury offerings.

Architectural Marvels
Designed by the renowned NORR Group architects, the needle-shaped structure of Ciel Dubai Marina is a testament to modern engineering and design. Every aspect of the building emphasizes height, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai skyline, and the Arabian Gulf, to the ocean-facing outdoor infinity pool located on level 76—one of the highest in the world.
At the top of the tower, an observation deck provides unparalleled views of the horizon. The architects have also incorporated sustainability into the design, with vertically stacked enclosed gardens throughout the tower. Computational fluid dynamic analysis and wind tunnel modeling played a crucial role in shaping the structure, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency.
Luxurious Amenities and Dining Experiences
The hotel’s facilities are as extravagant as its design, offering a range of unique experiences for guests. There are eight dining venues, each with its own distinct character:
- West 13 offers a Mediterranean experience with handmade pasta, gyros, tacos, mezze, and artisanal bakery creations.
- East 14 takes guests on an Asian buffet adventure featuring live ramen, pho, sushi, dim sum, and curries.
- Risen Café and Artisanal Bakery serves breakfast, lunch, and an all-day menu of freshly baked pastries and specialty coffee.
One of the most dramatic offerings is Tattu, an award-winning UK-born modern Asian concept. The hotel features three outlets: Tattu Restaurant & Bar, Tattu Sky Pool, and Tattu Sky Lounge. The experience begins on level 74, where guests are transported into a world of “ancient mythology, modern mastery, and contemporary Chinese and Japanese cuisine.”
On level 76, the Tattu Sky Pool offers a luxurious setting with plush daybeds, Japanese-fusion bites, and an energetic atmosphere that transitions from daytime relaxation to sunset DJ sets. The pinnacle of the Tattu Dubai experience is on level 81, where the Sky Lounge & Terrace combines music, cocktails, and 360-degree views.
Additional Facilities
Guests can enjoy a 24-hour state-of-the-art gym with skyline views. At ground level, access to the Soluna Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah is available. In February 2026, the hotel will also open a spa on level 61, further enhancing the luxury experience for visitors.
