Upon his arrival at the Akoka campus, Adeyemo was accompanied by his wife, children, and members of his professional team. Before the official proceedings commenced, he took his family on a nostalgic walk through areas of the campus that held particular significance during his undergraduate years.

A Visionary in Real Estate and Social Impact

Adeyemo is the visionary behind Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, a development renowned for its distinctive and innovative housing solutions. His pioneering spirit has been instrumental in introducing forward-thinking concepts to Nigeria’s urban landscape.

Key projects spearheaded by Adeyemo include:

  • Pelican Brief: This initiative is credited with kick-starting the smart city concept within the region.
  • Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments: Offering sustainable and modern living spaces.
  • Pelican Greenish Acre Farm Estate: Blending residential comfort with agricultural opportunities.

All these groundbreaking developments are strategically situated along the Laderin–Abeokuta–Kobape corridor in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Beyond his commercial ventures, Adeyemo is also the Founder of the Oko Opo Widows Foundation. This non-profit organization is dedicated to providing support and care for widows, their children, and other vulnerable members of society, demonstrating a profound commitment to social welfare.

From Journalism to Real Estate Excellence

Adeyemo’s academic journey began in 1998 when he enrolled at the University of Lagos to pursue Labour and Industrial Relations within the Faculty of Management Sciences. He graduated with distinction in 2002. Following a commendable career in journalism, Adeyemo embarked on a new path in real estate. Over the past 15 years, he has consistently applied principles of integrity, due diligence, and a commitment to quality delivery. This approach has not only redefined narratives within the real estate business but has also set benchmarks in providing high-quality homes for Nigerians, both domestically and in the diaspora.

Faculty of Management Sciences Celebrates Its Alumni

The Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Abdul-Hameed Sulaimon, eloquently articulated the rationale behind Adeyemo’s distinguished honour. He described Adeyemo and other graduates of the faculty as exemplary future leaders and change agents, thoroughly equipped to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Professor Sulaimon emphasized the faculty’s dedication to providing education that is both relevant and impactful, fostering research that leads to real-world solutions. He stated, “The Faculty of Management Sciences thrives because of collaboration, shared purpose, and unwavering commitment. The celebration is not merely about awards; it is a reaffirmation of our collective belief that meaningful progress is achieved through teamwork, integrity, and sustained partnerships between academia, industry, and society.”
