Heartwarming Moment on a Virgin Australia Flight
A flight attendant from Virgin Australia has captured the attention of many after being filmed helping a stressed mother with her baby. The incident occurred on a flight from the Gold Coast to Sydney, where passengers witnessed a touching moment of kindness and support.
Jack Brubaker, owner of Fresh Filters Sydney, recorded the interaction on video. He shared his experience with Daily Mail, describing how a mother with multiple children was struggling with a crying baby during the pre-flight instructions. “The flight hostess walked past and made a comment like, ‘Oh, poor little baby.’ She then came back and asked the mother if she needed a hand,” he explained.
The mother had spent two minutes trying to soothe the baby, but with the help of the flight attendant, she was able to settle her other children and take a moment to breathe. Mr. Brubaker filmed the flight attendant bouncing the baby, highlighting the positive impact of the gesture.

“I thought it was a pretty wholesome moment,” Mr. Brubaker said. “It’s a bit of positivity and wholesomeness in a world that’s pretty crazy right now.”
The video was later shared on TikTok, where some social media users expressed concerns that the flight attendant might face repercussions for her kind gesture. One user commented, “Unfortunately, this’ll probably get her written up. Was not allowed to hold any passengers’ infants while working at (another airline).” Another wrote, “This video is gonna get her in massive trouble.”
There were also worries that the time spent helping the mother meant the flight attendant wasn’t able to complete her pre-flight checks. However, Mr. Brubaker received a message from Virgin Australia praising the worker and thanking him for sharing the clip. “I tagged Virgin in the video and they wrote back saying they were glad I shared the special moment of their staff member,” he said.

“I was glad because I read a few comments saying she might get in trouble or whatnot, but Virgin seemed happy with their staff member and everyone on board was more than happy too. She’s done a great job.”
The video received an overwhelming response from hundreds of commenters who applauded the flight attendant for her actions. One user wrote, “Bring back a time where mums had a village wherever they go.” Another said, “Give her a raise! What an absolute sweet soul.”
Another comment read, “She went above and beyond to help not only one stressed customer but another upset little baby customer.
