Michael Clarke’s New Sydney Home: A Luxurious Lifestyle
Michael Clarke, the former Australian cricket captain, is preparing to sell his former Sydney Harbour mansion after investing $20 million in a new property just a short distance away. The Vaucluse home, which has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, is one of the most exclusive properties in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Although no official price guide has been set, real estate experts believe it could fetch over $20 million.
The 44-year-old sports icon purchased the European-inspired property in 2021 for $13.1 million and has since undertaken extensive renovations. The sprawling 778-square-metre home features a resort-style design with oversized living spaces, an airy open-plan layout, a swimming pool, and a private formal dining room. It also includes a grand entranceway that sets the tone for the luxurious interior.

The first-floor kitchen and dining areas open onto an entertainment deck, while the second floor offers a verandah and lounge area. The main bedroom occupies an entire corner of the second floor, complete with a walk-in dressing room, en-suite bathroom, and private balcony. Additional features include a private cinema and study, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation and entertainment.
This isn’t Clarke’s first major property investment. He recently bought a six-bedroom mansion near his previous residence. The new home, located behind a wide street frontage and manicured gardens, is a double-brick, three-level concrete house with six bathrooms, multiple living areas, and parking for two cars.

The outdoor space is a highlight, featuring a full-sized, north-facing championship tennis court, a gas-heated pool, and sun-drenched terraces. Inside, the grand entry hall with a circular ceiling and sculptural staircase leads to both formal and casual living zones. The main level includes a Calacatta marble gourmet kitchen equipped with premium Smeg and Highland appliances, a custom cocktail bar, and an integrated Sonos sound system.
On the lower level, a rumpus and media zone opens directly to the pool and landscaped gardens, complemented by a dedicated gym. Upstairs, the main bedroom suite offers a generous en-suite and dressing area, while the other bedrooms are designed for family and guests.
The property was last sold in 2007 for $7 million and was initially guided at around $25 million earlier this year before Clarke secured it through a private treaty deal. This purchase follows Clarke’s sale of his former matrimonial home with ex-wife Kyly for $12 million.
Clarke’s new neighbors include radio host Kyle Sandilands and his wife Tegan, as well as former Westpac boss David Morgan and his wife, former federal minister Ros Kelly.
Recent Property Moves and Relationships
In addition to his property investments, Clarke has been in the news for his personal life. Reports suggest he has taken Arabella Sherborne on a lavish trip to a $3,500-a-night resort on Hamilton Island. There have also been rumors about their relationship taking a new turn, with speculation about a $13 million mansion move-in.
Meanwhile, Dina Broadhurst has been making waves with her Instagram presence, drawing attention not only from fans but also from Clarke, who has been spotted visiting her $11.5 million Sydney property.
On the sports front, rugby legend Stirling Mortlock and his wife are selling their lavish Bowral country retreat for a jaw-dropping $2.25 million, adding to the list of high-profile property sales in the region.
